This directory contains solar activity summaries and predictions for 
both 27-day and Solar Cycle time ranges.

This is the same information published in the Space Weather Prediction
Center "Weekly" publication - Preliminary Report of Solar and 
Geophysical Data, however, it is formatted for direct access and use.
The ascii text files have a fixed format for machine readability and 
the images are in GIF format.

The actual "Weekly" publications and the User Guide, in adobe PDF 
format, are on-line at http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/weekly/
Older publications, since 1997, are in the SWPC Warehouse.

Descriptions of both the 27-day products and the Solar Cycle
products are available in the directory. 


UPDATE SCHEDULE
   The "Highlights and Forecast" and "27-Day Outlook" are issued 
   every Tuesday, usually by 2230UT.

   The Solar Cycle products are updated once a month and are put
   on-line the first Tuesday after the new data arrives. The latest 
   values are usually available on the 3rd of every month. 

   An email notification when the Weekly is issued is available
   through the Product Subscription Service https://pss.swpc.noaa.gov/

   ================   Solar Cycle 24 Predictions   =================
   November 6, 2007         

   The initial ISES Solar Cycle 24 Prediction was released in April, 
   2007.  The panel charged with determining the prediction was unable 
   to agree on a single solution and have so far provided two 
   predictions.  Those two predictions are available here, along with 
   an average of the two predictions.  The average is currently being 
   used as the official prediction.  The ISES panel does not consider 
   this to be an adequate solution.  To mitigate this, the lower and
   upper bounds used with the average cover the range of the two 
   predictions issued by the panel.  When the panel converges on a 
   single prediction, the files here will be updated to reflect the 
   new prediction.  The two predictions issued by the panel can be 
   accessed in the files named Predict_low.txt and Predict_high.txt.
