28 December CME Arrived, G1 (Minor) Storming Now Expected
published: Thursday, December 31, 2015 14:06 UTC

The G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storming watch, issued for 31 December, has been downgraded to G1 (Minor) levels. Solar wind parameters of the CME, measured by the ACE spacecraft, indicate the potential for G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storming is no longer likely. However, current observations of the solar wind suggest G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storms should still be expected.
