G1 (Minor) storming in progress

Aurora forecast model
G1 (Minor) storming in progress
published: Saturday, May 07, 2016 13:13 UTC

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm warning is currently in effect until 07/03:00 UTC (06/11:00 PM ET).  G1 (Minor) storm conditions were first observed at 06/20:59 UTC (06/16:59 PM ET). A coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS) is impacting Earth's magnetosphere with elevated solar wind speeds and a disturbed interplanetary magnetic field, making for the expected G1 storming levels. Stay tuned for updates!
