Update: Geomagnetic Disturbance Weakening - 20 Sep 2015
published: Wednesday, September 23, 2015 13:59 UTC UTC

An isolated period of G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storms were observed between 20/0600-0900 UTC (20/0200-0500 EDT) due to the influence of a coronal hole high speed stream and the arrival of a coronal mass ejection from 18 Sep.  The effects of the coronal mass ejection have subsided although weak coronal hole influence is still being observed.  G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storms are expected until around 20/1800 UTC (20/1400 EDT) as this event continues to wane.
