Report and Forecast of Solar and Geophysical Activity

Also referred to as the “Solar Geophysical Activity Report and Forecast”, this report provides a summary and analysis of solar and geomagnetic activity during the previous 24 hours as well as the most recent solar indices. It also provides a forecast of activity and indices for the next 3 days.  (This is a joint USAF/NOAA bulletin.)

This is a legacy USAF/NOAA bulletin, with a daily Ap geomagnetic focus rather than a focus on the updated NOAA Kp indice for geomagnetic activity (which can be found in the 3-Day and Forecast Discussion products).  This product remains an active report for continuity purposes, and is issued daily at 2200, with no out of cycle updates.

A description of the report and the indices is available here.

Information about the report is available here.

The current report can be accessed here.

Current and previous reports are available from SWPC.

Additional information is available at the National Geophysical Data Center Space Weather page.
