G1 (Minor) Warning in Effect through 01 Feb 0600 UTC
published: Wednesday, February 01, 2017 11:54 UTC

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm warning remains in effect into 01 February through 0600 UTC (0100 ET). The minor storming is expected in response to elevated solar wind speeds associated with a coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS). Solar wind speeds have topped 750 km/s with this feature and other solar wind parameters remain favorable for continued activity. G1 levels were first reached on 31 January at 2359 UTC (1859 ET). Keep checking our SWPC webpage for the latest solar wind data and additional forecast information and updates.
