G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Levels Observed

G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Levels Observed
published: Sunday, April 23, 2017 15:24 UTC

Over the past two days, numerous G1 and G2 storm level conditions have been observed. This forecasted geomagnetic activity is a result of a recurrent, negative-polarity coronal hole high speed stream.

G2 (Moderate) geomagnetic storm conditions were observed at 22/0559, 22/1425, 22/2359 and 23/0852 UTC.  A G2 (Moderate) Warning is valid through 23/1500 UTC. A G2 Watch was issued for 23 April.

G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm conditions were meet at 21/2032, 21/2359, 22/0235, 22/0421, 22/0852, 22/1022, 22/1346, 22/1641, 22/2240, 23/0754, and 23/1034 UTC. A G1 (Minor) Warning is valid until 23/2100 UTC. A G1 (Minor) Watch has been issued for 24 and 25 April as these influences are likely to continue for several more days.
