G1 (Minor) and G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Watches

G1 (Minor) and G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Watches
published: Sunday, July 24, 2022 19:45 UTC

G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storming is likely to continue into 22 Jul due to the effects of -CH01 and -CH02. G2 (Moderate) storming is likely to commence in the early part of 23 Jul with the arrival of the 21 Jul CME. This relatively fast moving CME was the result of C5 flare activity in the vicinity of Region 3060 which then caused an approx. 12 degree long filament that was centered near N15W01 to erupt.
