A G1 (Minor) watch is in effect for both 22 and 23 October UTC days. The G1 watch was issued due to a few likely periods of minor geomagnetic storming in response to effects from a recurrent, isolated coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS). Additionally, SWPC forecasters are closely monitoring the return of another CH HSS, currently anticipated to rotate into an Earth-influential position as early as 24 October. This second CH HSS is also a recurrent feature that provided three days of G1 level activity and periods of G2 (Moderate) storming last rotation.
